2015 U.S. Women’s Open

January 12, 2015

Did you know that in July of this year, one of the world’s most prestigious women’s golf championships is coming to Lancaster County?

From July 6 – 12, the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open
will take place at the Lancaster Country Club.
At last year’s event at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina, a USGA (United
States Golf Association) record of 1,702 golfers entered to play. This year,
the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club expects entries to exceed
that number.
Whether you’re an avid golfer or a fan of the game, this is
an event you won’t want to miss this. To enjoy the excitement as a spectator,
you can purchase tickets online
that give you access to the
championship grounds all seven days of the event, complimentary parking, and
much more.
For those from out of town, this is also a perfect
opportunity to partake in an authentic Lancaster County experience. Reserve
your room at the Historic Smithton Inn, and I’ll be here to share where to go and
what to see when you’re not on the course watching the championship. Our bed and breakfast is a
short and easy 20 minutes (12 miles) from the Lancaster Country Club
.
If you’ll be a spectator but love to golf, our inn has a
relationship with Meadia Heights Golf Club
(a private club) where our guests can play a challenging championship course. I
can also recommend a number of other courses nearby.
Visit our website to check out the charm, comfort, and convenience we can offer you during your stay in Pennsylvania Dutch
Country. And be sure to book your room now!
