Fair Season in Lancaster PA

August 24, 2015

As schools swing back into session and the days grow
shorter, that can only mean one thing: it’s

finally fair season! Though we’re
sad to see the summer go, this time of year always brings a welcome dose of family
fun—and food!—to our area.

From thrilling carnival rides to games of chance to unique
art and agricultural exhibits, Lancaster County Fairs make the month of
September one to remember.

Mark your calendars to attend one or more of these popular fairs!

September 11 – 20: York Fair (Although it's technically not a Lancaster County Fair, it’s absolutely
worth mentioning here!)
September 15 – 19: Denver Fair
September 16 – 18: Solanco Fair
September 22 – 26: Ephrata Fair (The BIGGEST street
fair in Pennsylvania! One of my personal favorite events is the pig chase, this
year on Tuesday, September 22. And don’t miss the much-anticipated annual parade on Wednesday night or the great deal on rides during Kiddies’ Day all day Thursday!)
September 23 – 25: West Lampeter Fair
These Lancaster County fairs are a fantastic way to get
involved in the community, or just come out to enjoy live entertainment, treat
yourself to some eats, and see what’s happening.
Book
your stay with us at the Historic Smithton Inn
this fair season, so you don’t
miss out on the fun. There’s no better place to experience a relaxing, stress-free
stay as the seasons transition here in Lancaster County. Hope to see you soon!
