a wonderful step in the right direction.

Why fight the massive crowds and traffic in New York City,
when our area offers its own versions of the ball drop?
Eat Your Way To a Happy And Healthy New Year—Pennsylvania
Dutch Style
To ensure good fortune all year long, the PA Dutch
traditionally eat pork and sauerkraut for dinner on New Year’s Day. Served with
sides of mashed potatoes, apple sauce, and pepper cabbage, I can’t think of a
better meal for starting the New Year off on the right foot. Make a meal your
family and friends will savor by slow-cooking pork loin with sauerkraut in a
crock pot. Or visit one of the many local churches and fire companies that will
be serving up New Year’s Day pork and sauerkraut meals to those who don’t feel
like toiling in the kitchen.
Many of those listed on Lancasteronline.com
are within less than a 15-minute drive from
our inn.
Whether you’ll be venturing out on New Year’s Eve or
enjoying a quiet champagne toast at home…cooking your own pork and sauerkraut
or digging in at a community meal on New Year’s Day, I wish you a very
prosperous and joy-filled 2016.
