A New Take on Traditions

Meduseld Meadery has one goal and one goal only: to redefine traditions. Surfing on the Canadian wave of indoor ax ranges, they opened the very first one in Lancaster Country, alongside a meadery to keep customers refreshed all throughout the experience.

Mead is an alcoholic beverage derived from honey, and that can be made in the form of wine, champagne, beer, and even liquor! Meduseld is trying to incorporate this ancient beverage into the modern times, just like ax throwing!

Axe Range

Since its opening in 2017, the ax range at the meadery has built a community within Lancaster and the surrounding towns. All axe throwing is done within a safety cage and follows the rules set by the National Ax Throwing Federation. All throwers must be at least 18 years old or supervised by a parent. As far as pricing goes, it’s $10 for ten throws, and you can choose between a one ¼-pound camp ax and a two ¼-pound felling ax.

 

Events

On top of an exciting ax range, Meduseld Meadery also hosts a variety of events throughout the year. You can enjoy a laid-back Wednesday night trivia, or attend a concert featuring talented, local artists such as Ulterior Motives, Dangerously Sober, Dillweed Back, and Sight Unseen!
