Vineyard at Grandview

In case you're wondering, "Does this vineyard actually have a “grand view”?" the answer is, YES, it sure does!  In addition to amazing wine, they have a wonderful deck that overlooks their grape vines and rolling hills & farmland. They often have live music on weekends, too. Their wines span the spectrum of sweet to dry.  If you want to combine wine tasting with sweeping views of Lancaster County farmland, this is a wonderful place to visit.

Nissley Winery

Located in Bainbridge, the Nissley Winery offers plenty to do.  Spend the day enjoying a tour and browsing the wine shop and end it with a beautiful picnic. You can also enjoy lawn concerts on select summer evenings.  The wines at Nissley tend to be on the sweet side, but the 2nd generation of owners is starting to grow some dry varietals.

Thorn Hill Lancaster Wine Tasting Room

Set in a shopping center on Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, the look of the building on the outside might lead you to the wrong conclusions about the wines you'll find inside.  This tasting shop is owned by a couple who have a vineyard in California, so unlike the other craft wineries on this list, these are Napa Valley wines!  The price of wine tastings and bottles is quite a bit higher than the other Lancaster County wineries, but fans of Thorn Hill will tell you it's worth it.  We highly recommend you discover the answer for yourself!

Waltz Vineyards

Waltz Vineyards in Manheim is an absolutely wonderful winery and a MUST-VISIT for any Lancaster County wine tour.  The tasting room is cozy and well staffed with a team who really know the wines and the process involved in making them.  They have two lines of wines, one is there Estate Wines, made from grapes grown on the property.  The other is their Cellar 1599 wines, made from grapes sourced in top grape growing regions across the U.S.  The vineyards also offers live outdoor entertainment on select dates, for a fun afternoon of wine drinking on a picnic blanket.

Glasshouse Wineworks

The owners at Glasshouse Wineworks strive to create well-crafted wines accompanied by a welcoming atmosphere.  Their tasting room and wine garden are wonderful spaces to hang out and sip some wine, taste some food, hang out with friends and generally enjoy life!

Mount Hope Estate & Winery

The Mount Hope Estate, home to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and a local favorite here in Lancaster County, is located in northern Lancaster County. At the winery, you can build your wine tasting resume with complimentary wine tasting offered daily. Mount Hope wines tend to be on the sweet side and their slogan is "Craft Memories at Mount Hope."

Moon Dancer Winery

If you're wondering which Lancaster PA winery has  the BEST views, we're going to send you just across the Susquehanna river to Moon Dancer Winery!  This winery looks like a Tuscan Villa and sits on a hillside overlooking the river.  With plenty of acreage to play with, the winery makes great use of it by hosting music festivals and other events throughout the summer months. It's also a great wedding venue if you’re looking for somewhere stunning to hold your big event.  Moon Dancer's wines are definitely on the sweet side, but even if you prefer dry wines, the views are worth giving them a try.
