Lancaster PA theater American Music Theater in Lancaster PA, also known as AMT, is one of the most popular attractions in the County. Located conveniently along Rt. 30 (2425 Lincoln Hwy East, Lancaster PA), it’s right in the heart of Amish attractions, shopping, museums, restaurants and more. The American Music Theater was established in 1997 and over the years hosted many acclaimed performers including Grammy winners, Country Music Association winners, Tony Winners, Grand Ole Opry stars and even Oscar winners! About American Music Theater:

American Music Theater is owned and managed by Jim Martin, a pilot and entrepreneur who along with his business partner, had the vision to establish a top-notch music venue in central PA. AMT holds 1600 guests which is the perfect size to attract top acts. The size of AMT also makes the venue small enough that there isn’t a bad seat in the house. American Music Theater hosts over 300 performances and productions in a typical year. There is truly something for all ages to experience here! Categories include: AMT Original, Broadway/Family/Classical, Christian/Gospel, Comedy, Country, Oldies & Pop Rock.

The facility is handicapped accessible and there is ample safe and secure parking for visitors.

Concerts

AMT attracts top performance to fill their hall. Performers from Kenny Rogers & Martina McBride to David Grey, Robert Cray Band, The Oakridge Boys and 38 Special have performed at the American Music Theater Lancaster. The road show “America’s Got Talent” even performed here. They manage to attract acts from all genres so no matter what your age or what style of music you like, sometime during the year there will be a show that is perfect for you. Celtic, Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock and Pop are all on the schedule. Guests especially love the “Tribute Band” shows that transport you back in time to performances of the Beetles, Rolling Stones, Abba, The Who and Frank Sinatra!!

Comedy / Magic / “Other”

If you need a laugh, AMT is the place to be! The American Music Theater Lancaster PA brings in top comedy acts, magic shows and other entertaining events to delight visitors. Comedians who have performed at AMT include Jay Leno, Bill Engvall, Steve Martin & Martin Short, & Weird Al Yankovic. Magicians and Illusionists have included Masters of Illusion, America’s Got Talent finalist Jon Dorenbos and Justin William . Other entertaining events they host include Master Chef, The Peking Acrobats, Riverdance and The Price is Right Live.

Original Productions

Where the American Music Theater really shines is their original productions. Their Christmas Show in particular is a real treat that families from Lancaster & visitors to the area enjoy seeing each year. The performers are top notch, as are the sets, costumes, lighting and costumes. You’d think you were seeing a Broadway show! Other AMT Original Shows have included “Inspire” – Celebrating the moving power of music through the universal themes of hope, courage, faith, love and freedom and “Vegas Legends” - celebrating the iconic music and performances from the city that comes alive, after the sun goes down!
