Moses is the current show at Sight and Sound Lancaster. The performances will run from March 10th to October 7, 2023. This show was previously performed in 2014-2015. If you missed it back then, you should definitely make plans to see this show!
From the Sight & Sound Website:
"From the banks of the Nile River to the depths of the Red Sea, MOSES is a spectacular entertainment experience for the whole family!
Set adrift as a baby, he is an unlikely hero — until God calls him to lead His people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. Journey with Moses as he ventures through the wilderness, encounters God at the burning bush, and ascends to the top of Mount Sinai."
Immersive Experience: Sight and Sound is known for their amazing panoramic theater which leads to a truly immersive experience for theater goers.
Live Animals: Sight & Sound incorporates live animals into all their productions. So if you’re seated in an aisle seat on the first level, you should expect a horse to pass by you at least once during the performance. When’s the last time you attended a theater performance that included elephants, camels, and even trained DUCKS?!!
Amazing Staging & Sets: Some incredible technology goes into the staging for Sight and Sound performances. The massive sets are controlled by computers and utilize GPS technology to move sets around the stage at the precise time to the exact location where they belong. Every detail magnificently comes together to transport the audience into the meaningful story.

Glenn and Shirley Eshelman founded Sight & Sound in the summer of 1976, with a 10-week multimedia show The Wonder of It All performed at Lancaster Bible College in a rented auditorium. The show was a success, and based on that, they built the original Sight & Sound Auditorium (now the location of Journey Church) on Pennsylvania Route 896 in Ronks, Pennsylvania.
The multimedia performances transitioned into Live shows with actors and actresses added to the production. They hosted their first full length live stage production in 1987.
Continued success led to the need for a larger facility! The Sight & Sound Entertainment Centre opened in March 1991. A devastating fire destroyed that building in January 1997 and the current facility, The Millennium Theater, was opened on September 1, 1998. The new theatre features more than 2,000 seats, a 300-foot wraparound stage that can hold sets up to 40 feet high, and improved audio and visual effects.
These are the shows that have been staged at the current Sight and Sound Millennium Theater:
The timing of the Sight and Sound performances can sometimes make juggling your meal a logistical challenge.
If you’re attending the 11 am show, you’re basically going to have to eat a late lunch after the show. If balancing your blood sugar is a challenge, we recommend eating a late breakfast that morning to help tide you over.
The 3 pm shows present the least challenge from a dining standpoint.
For the 7 pm show, be sure to grab an early dinner nearby because by the time the show lets out, many local restaurants will have already stopped serving dinner.
